Books
These are books that I have read or listened to over the years that I think are valuable or entertaining. I have separated them loosely into categories but sadly can't spend the time to do it better at the moment. Fiction and non-fiction mostly but I have given philosophy its own space because I think it serves a different role than other books, in my opinion.
I'm listing books that I have read because while listening to someone else I tend to think is intelligent and they recommend a book, I immediately go to find it and put it on a wish list for future reading. I also find it slightly annoying at times when people are saying how good a book is without making it explicitly known. So, to combat this, I am listing ones I've read here and will try to list ones that I talk about on my channel and podcast episodes in the descriptions. I hope you will find this useful.
Also, as a side note, most books I have "read" I've actually listened to through sources like Audible. I have heard comments that suggest that listening to a book is like cheating or is wrong in some way that most people can't define and I at times have felt this way, however, this is dumb. I personally don't have the time to sit down and read as much as I would like and as I understand that reading, itself, is obviously a skill that everyone should have and hone. It doesn't make up for the fact that you should use every possible way to educate yourself however you can and not feel as if your doing something wrong. I never would have been able to find my love for learning if it wasn't for audio books and podcasts. They filled my otherwise meaningless tasks with joy and curiosity of the world and the people in it. Find the best way to learn for you and ignore people saying otherwise.
